Can I get a window seat? Don't want nobody next to me

Wow Erykah has really caused a stir, with her new video window seat. Recently being fined $500 for inappropriate exposure in her video.

One question that keeps on coming up is, what is the meaning behind the song and Erykah Badu's video? Her song and video reveal two different concepts. Erykah's song lyrics talk about wanting to be alone because her lover has gone.On the other hand in the video she strips off, taking off her clothes to remove everything that is repressing her and defining her in the world. Eventually she is left to her true naked self but is shot because people do not understand it (and evidently judging by her fine the state doesn't either.)

People have been bringing up the fact that many artists have exposed their naked bodies in videos. Examples are Alanis Morissett- Thank u, Britney spears- Womanizer and Rihanna - Umbrella. Despite this I think the issue at hand was the fact that nobody knew about her stripping and there were no licences etc.

One point I found interesting that someone made, was that this video caused a lot of controversy because Erykah Badu was a black women stripping in a non-sexual nature. Black women have been naked in many hiphop artist video's such as 50 cent.This however has not caused much controversy as it is accepted by society that black women can only be naked in a sexual manner. Or is this all women in general?

Maybe in the words of Erykah Badu we should open our eyes, renew our mind....

New videos - N-dubz say that its over

N-dubz are getting paid!!! Which is evident from their new video in which they adopt a more futuristic vibe, this reminds me of a cross between Lloyds video of girls all around the world and The Dream - Walking on the moon. It appears that N-dubz are swerving more towards the dance side of music, I personally preferred their older songs.

New videos - Teairra Mari Sponsor

Remember Teairra Mari the de throned princess of the Roc? Well she's back and with vengenance. Brushing off her pain and struggle from being dropped by her record company, she's back on the scene with her best song yet Sponsor featuring Soulja boy and Gucci man. Gucci man is apparently not in the video because he's in prison for a year due to breaching the terms of his parole. Seems as if it will be a long time before he's able to sponsor anyone. :P

New videos - Gaga and Beyonce telephone

Gaga was trying to take a leaf out of Michael Jacksons book with this 9min 30 second video it seems that artists are getting inspiration from Michael to start creating epic music videos another one was seen by black eyed peas with the 10min 21 seconds video imma be rocking that body. Gaga and Beyonce (with no one being upstaged this time) were let lose on the streets in a modern day rendition of Thelma and Lousise, a touch of kill bill and a splash of Gaga's quirky fashion.

And did you all spot Tyrese??? Yep he was the one poisoned by Bee's dangerous honey.To be honest I thought the video didn't really go with the song, it took too long to start, I didn't understand why they were dressed as witches at the end and Beyonce's acting also made me cringe.However this video is definitely going to be one of the most talked about and is sure to pave the way for setting up Lady Gaga as a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
